This evening after work I set out in an attempt to get some better footage of the giant that I posted video of a few days back. Upon approaching the spot I was going to film from, I could already see deer in the field. A quick look through my binoculars and it was evident that I wasn’t going to make it any closer to the field without spooking the deer, so I opted to stick back and just watch from a distance. I stood behind the cover of a nearby cedar tree, and took a closer look at the deer in the field. I was very surprised to already see the giant feeding only 80 yards from me, however, I was unable to get very good video of him as he was on the opposite side of a thick fencerow.
As I began to film him, movement caught my attention to my right. I looked over, and couldn’t believe my eyes. A good buck was standing there, with half of his rack broke off, and hanging from his head. It appeared to be broken off at the base, and hanging on by his skin. I watched him for 20 minutes as he licked the side of his face and rubbed the broken side of his rack on the ground. I thought at anytime the antler may fall off, but it never did. Hope you guys enjoy this incredibly rare and interesting footage! If I see this buck in the field tomorrow evening with only one side, I’m going ‘shed hunting,’
